DynaTraffic - Markov chains and dynamic traffic distribution
|
DynaTraffic models traffic situations with several intersections and thus offers an every-day-based
introduction to Markov chains. DynaTraffic automatically calculates transitions and allows an analyis
of the traffic distribution based on a Markov model.
DynaTraffic allows a well understandable access to the basic concepts of Markov chains such as transition graph or steady state.
DynaTraffic uses the example of traffic analysis to introduce a concrete Markvo model and allows further examinations with the help
of different corresponding views.

At whom is DynaTraffic targeted?
DynaTraffic can be used on different school levels such as universities of applied sciences, high schools, or universities.
It requires a certain mathematical backgroud in the areas of probability theory, linear algebra, and modeling, if these topics are
not to be introduced with the help of DynaTraffic.
DynaTraffic is not intented for self-studying, students should first receive an introduction to DynaTraffic including a demo.
Learning goals when using DynaTraffic
DynaTraffic is suited to introduce terms such as transition graph, adjacency matrix, state vector,
peridocity of markov chains, transient states, absorbing states, ergodicity, steady state, and convergence and its speeed.
