Information about Souad
- Souad was born in a small hamlet in the West Bank, now Palestine. She met a neighbor, who promised to marry her. Yet when she became pregnant he disappeared. Her 'shamed' family condemned her to death, and she was set on fire by her brother-in-law. Miraculously she survived, eventually getting treated for her burns in a hospital in Switzerland. In the book Burned Alive she tells her story. To protect her identity no more information is available.
