We stand ontop of Lengai volcano between active North crater (center) and inactive South crater (not visible in this panorama). Our view is dominated by the whole Rift Valley with its many volcanoes. From left to right: Kerimasi stratovolcano towards the South, then Embakai and Olmoti calderas in the distance (hiding the famous Ngorongoro caldera), Serengeti Plains on the horizon just above the steep west scarp of the Rift Valley, Lake Natron in the haze just above the Lengai's white North Crater, and finally the majestic shield volcanoes Gelai and Kitumbeine.
