On the summit of Monte Pelato. The obsidian flow reaches out in the direction towards distant Panarea and Stromboli islands. Salina and Vulcano are also visible.
On the lower part of the obsidian flow. Blocks not covered by lichen appear brownish red due to weathering. Marco Fulle looking across to Panarea island.
Behind Marco Fulle is the end of the obsidian flow. The prominent white cliff is formed by quarrying of pumice which is loaded onto ships via the piers in front of Filicudi (distant) and Salina islands (nearer one).
