Study trips to volcanoes in the footprints of the SOL team

Do you want to visit a volcano yourself? We often get inquires by people who would like to join us on our expeditions. In many cases this is either impractical or cannot be arranged on short notice, for example when we rush off to an ongoing eruption. However Stromboli online has now started a collaboration with a young tour company founded by volcanologist Dr. Tom Pfeiffer, a year-long friend and close partner of the Stromboli online team.

VolcanoDiscovery offers tours and expeditions to active volcanoes, as well as trekking, walking and study tours with general interest in geology. In close cooperation with Stromboli online, VolcanoDiscovery specializes in small and private custom-designed tours, as well as corporate incentives and special arrangements for universities and school groups. At present, the program includes the following destinations:

Italy, the cradle of volcanology - nowhere else can you find such a fascinating variety of highly active volcanoes concentrated in such a small area,- all easily accessible and full of surprises. As we do ourselves, we'll do our best to bring you close to the action! From the near continuously active volcano Etna,- Europe's largest and the second most active volcano in the world,- to the infamous, dangerous volcano of Vesuvius that buried Pompeii in Roman times, our tours will give you an unforgettable experience.
