A strong summit explosion happened on 5 March 1995, at 17:40 GMT. The explosion was preceded by a significant drop in the level of tremor intensity but not of the number of recorded events. The tremor intensity returned to a "normal" level immediately after the explosion. This is different from what we observed during similar events. The tremor then showed an isolated peak on 30 March.
