Dacite
Dacite is a light gray rock with 63 to 68 percent of silica (SiO2).
It is one of the most common rock types
associated with enormous plinian eruptions. Common minerals include
plagioclase feldspar, pyroxene, amphibole and iron oxide. Dacite magmas generally erupt at temperatures between 800 and 1000°C.
