Introduction

In September 2005, SOL team members Roberto Carniel and Marco Fulle undertook expeditions to Guadeloupe and Martinique, West Indies, with a team of volcanologists of the Volcano Seismology Working Group. After the passage of a tropical storm, during a few rare days of very dry weather, the following photographic coverage of vegetation-covered andesitic domes and the site of the catastrophe of St. Pierre could be achieved. All photos are copyright M. Fulle.
