Ludmila's Broken English, 2006 - Summary
- Ludmila is from some godforsaken Eastern country and a bit of a foul-mouthed lady looking for the usual way out of poverty and grime. Unfortunately the stars don't foretell great tidings specially when her grandfather tries to rape her. Strong Ludmila resists and finally flees the family hovel to run away to the West. Things take a twist and she lands up on a Russian bride site on the internet.
There is also a parallel story of two conjoined twins in Britain, surgically separated after 33 years and let loose literally "on parole" into the wide, wide world. They are plunged into a round-the-clock world churning with opportunity, rowdy with the chatter of freedom, democracy, self empowerment and sex.
Finally Ludmila and the twins meet, but things turn out differently than they anticipated.
