Pasterzen Kees
View downglacier over the lower glacier tonge, towards SE. Two boulders in the foreground form glacier tables. The boulder on the right is already tilting towards SW, the one on the left towards S. Saller debris does not produce glacier tables.
Pasterzen Kees
Large glacier table; view upglacier towrads NW. The boulder is only slightly tilted towards S, but clearly the ice pedestal on the S side (left) has ablated further than on the N side.
Pasterzen Kees
Medium sized glacier table with remarkably slim, symmetrical ice pedestal. The view is towards north.
Pasterzen Kees
boulders on glacier tables are not always tilted towards S. In this view towards NW, the boulder is clearly tilted twoards the right, i.e. NE. However, several medium sized boulders further back are perched on small ice mounds and tilted towards S.
