Right next to Rotorua, in the geothermal field of Whakarewarewa and in Wai-O-Tapu, 27 km away, eruptions of geysers can be seen.
Prince of Wales Feathers-Geysir (left) always erupts before Pohutu geyser (centre). Its jets erupt at an angle and reach heights of around eight meters. Hot water flowing away from they geysers in the foreground.
