At dawn we put all our equipment on the boats and get ready to cross 40km of Indian Ocean.

Before landing at Rakata we get our first views of the ash eruptions on Anak Krakatau.
Landing on ash-covered beach of Palau Rakata.
As the moon rises our boat remains here to later take us near the erupting vent of Anak Krakatau.
