Winter 2021: South-East Crater

After two years of moderate summit activity, the South-East Crater started another cycle of violent paroxysms in February 2021. There were lava fountains and thick ash showers over all flanks. Marco followed two eruptive events from the eastern flank, from distances of 5 km (first video) and 10 km (second video below, with shower of scoria).
