1931 till 1984In this period several lava flows were observed: in 1935, 1936, 1938, 1939, 1944, 1946, 1949, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, 1959, 1966, 1967 and in 1971. Also strong eruptions occurred, for example in 1941 and 1943 (damage to houses). On 22 August 1941 a lava fountain shot up 1000m above the craters. |
