Impressions from Stromboli in November 2004: Visibility was excellent and even permitted glimpses of Capri in the far northwest. As usual the pictures on this page link to larger photos and the image scales are illustrated by the lens focal length (which must be multiplied by a factor of 1.5 to compare the digital reflex camera to a traditional SLR camera using 24x36 film). All times are local (GMT + 1hr). Note that climbing Stromboli beyond 270 m.a.s.l. is still not permitted for tourists.
